HELLO!
My name is Silvia Beatriz Jensen.
I have a master's degree in music therapy, a PD in speech therapy and over 35 years of experience in music therapy and alternative communication.
Language and communication are important for human development.
Through it we express who we are, our needs, possibilities and limitations.
In my work, I see potential in every person. The aim is to help people to find their strengths, competences and possibilities. Everyone has the right to independent actions, to find balance in their own lives.
I am part of "musikterapeuterne", Clinik of music therapy in Aalborg, Denmark. (www.musikterapeuterne.dk)
I am an activ member of TAVSgroup in charge of promoting and disseminating the principles of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) (www.tavsgruppen.dk)
Being able to express oneself gives a sense of independence, self-respect, social interaktion and the opportunity for development in the cognitive, social and emotional areas.
Everyone is born with the possibility to develop, regardless of disability or challenges they might have.
Music can form a common language between people. Combining music and elements from Alternative and Alternativ Communication, facilitates learning and development.
